Age Groups

Burnside Hockey Club will be entering teams in all junior teams in 2024:

U8 – those born in 2016 or before 

U10 – those born in 2014 or 2015

U12 – those born in 2012 or 2013

U14 – those born in 2010 or 2011

U16 – those born in 2008 or 2009

U18 – those born in 2006 or 2007 

U8 will played on ¼ field, while u10 will be played on ½ field.  

All other grades (u12 to u18) will be played on full field and divided in male and female competitions.

Hockey SA encourages players to play in their age groups however we do sometimes need to move players round to fill teams or to allow younger players in the same family to play together.

Training

Training times are currently being confirmed.  Training will occur at PAC.

Matches

Matches for juniors will be stating the last weekend in April (Friday 26th and Sunday 28th).

Generally U18 will play Friday night and all other matches will be Sunday mornings, however there may be some U10 and U12 matches on Friday nights where required for pitch availability.
