Junior Development Program
Targeted toward 9-12 year olds with a focus on basic skills development. The aim of the program is to improve standard of SAPSASA and U13 SA State teams.
Development Athlete Program
This program is for 12-18 year olds with the purpose to develop basic and specialist skills, game awareness and match play.
It is anticipated this will improve U15 State team performances and improve the quality of depth at an SSSSA and at the U18 State team level.
Coaches involved are U15 State team coaching staff; and Regional and Metropolitan DAP Coaches with a HockeyED Level 2 accreditation.
Priority Athlete Program
Targeted toward 14-19 year olds, the Priority Athlete Program continues with specialist skills development, game awareness and match play with learnings in holistic and personal development.
The goal of the PAP is to improve performance of U16 SSSSA and U18 State teams and prepare athletes for TAA selections (athletes with SASI potential in 2-3 years)
Coaching staff includes the Hockey SA High Performance Manager, Hockey SA/SASI Pathway Coaches and U18 State team coaches with HockeyED Level 2 accreditation.
South Australian Sports Institute
The SASI Hockey program has a focus on identifying and developing athletes capable of achieving National Squad selection, including National Junior, Development and Open Squads.
The SASI program supports the development of junior talented players up to U21 level. It also supports the daily training environment of open national athletes, when they are not based interstate with National Programs.
