Age Groups

Burnside Hockey Club will be entering teams in all junior teams in 2025:

U8 – those born in 2017 or before 

U10 – those born in 2015 or 2016

U12 – those born in 2013 or 2014

U14 – those born in 2011 or 2012

U16 – those born in 2009 or 2010

U18 – those born in 2007 or 2008 

U8 will played on ¼ field, while u10 will be played on ½ field.  

All other grades (u12 to u18) will be played on full field and divided in male and female competitions.

Hockey SA encourages players to play in their age groups however we do sometimes need to move players round to fill teams or to allow younger players in the same family to play together.

Training

Training times are currently being confirmed.  Training will occur at PAC.

Matches

Matches for juniors will be stating the last weekend in April.

Generally U18 will play Friday night and all other matches will be Sunday mornings, however there may be some U16, U12 and U10 matches on Friday nights where required for pitch availability.
